on Saturday, Kiryu Coco's 3D

debut stream happened!

Two days ago, on Saturday, I, Kiryu Coco,

happily debuted my 3D body.

However...

We have a pathetic story

which has to do with this event to cover.

Unbelievable...!

Before this stream

was broadcast for real,

we practiced, again and again, going over it many times,

we even conducted

a test stream,

which we set to private so nobody would see.

Just an attempt on YouTube,

to see how it'd go, but the unthinkable happened...!

Flips the bird and the test stream is taken down

During the test stream, I flipped the bird and

the stream got taken down.

This is... pretty pathetic, isn't it?

Good thing it was just a test stream, right?

If the real show got taken down, it'd be...

Well...

Terrible, to say the least.

Our intent was to reproduce the real show,

since we didn't have any idea what could happen, we reproduced

exactly what we'd do on the actual stream and see how it went.

And this is how that test ended up like.

And truth is that, due to this,

During rehearsal, they threatened her by saying "We can paralyze your finger any time".

During the entirety of rehearsal,

she'd flip the bird whenever she found a chance to,

and because of that,

the staff got very angry.

The voice coming from the earphone she wore constantly said:

"Kiryu Coco-san, we're able to, at any time,

make it so your middle finger can't move. Do you want to lose it?

We can make it stop it moving, we have that power, you know?"

She rehearsed while hearing these

and many other threats of the kind.

it was me who thought up the lyrics

to Shiny Smily Story in English.

I thought them up.

But, you know,

you guys may think I worked hard by myself

to write the lyrics,

but the truth is that

there's a bit of a story behind these lyrics.

A lot of stuff happened,

so I'll give you some behind the scenes talk.

The English lyrics to Shiny Smily Story

were actually already

being prepared way before 4th Gen debuted―

It's December 8th.

The lyrics were already being made

at the start of December 2019.

This was when the 4th gen members hadn't debuted yet,

we were doing it while waiting for our debut.

The text at the top is, erm,

that "create our WORLD" is

the last line of the lyrics, which I had posted.

And after that, Ms. Amane Kanata

immediately divided it into our parts.

Then Watame went, "Wow, amazing!"

and, erm, I wonder if

Watame remembers this.

The five of us did this

while chatting over Discord.

We were chatting, and back then

I didn't understand the lyrics to SSS.

Like, back then, my Japanese was

really stiff,

so I didn't really understand what the lyrics meant.

And during this time, we were―

―the five of us were in a call.

Our call was like:

"Towa, this is―

"What does this word mean?"

And she'd say "Oh, putting it simply,

it's the same as this English word"

"Kanatan, what does this mean?"

"Luna-tan, what does this mean?"

I listened to them over the call

since my Japanese wasn't really good.

"This word means this"

"If I had to say it, it's almost the same as this one"

"That one is closer to this one"

They were teaching Japanese to me

when I barely knew the language,

then I'd go "so, if it were in English, it'd be something like this"

and fit the lyrics together.

So you may be able to say

that Kiryu Coco wrote those lyrics―

I mean, yes, I did write them in English,

but to make those lyrics,

I had the help of

everyone in 4th Gen to teach me

the meaning in Japanese.

That's all I wanted to share

for this feature.

It was still December 8th,

nobody even knew

that we existed yet,

but we worked together to make this,

saying we'd sing it together one day.

We had even decided on our parts already, but...

y'know...

Once we debuted,

everyone got too busy,

refers to "appearance"― for example,

the way a person... a person...

The way they move

isn't classified under this.

It's just the appearance;

the physically disgusting quality

of the object in question.

If we were to sum it up in English, it would be

"gross".

We would use the word "gross" in this situation.

the pronunciation would be,

'grōß― us―

\'grōs\ is how it's pronounced.

As for how it's spelled,

just reading it out

could turn "gross" into "gloss"― the thing you put on your lips
